The summer’s end is fast approaching, with the back to school specials city wide its definitely put a damper on things young and old.
So look back on how awesome your summer was, and how awesome the rest can be as long as you take full advantage!

These two are from a recent trip down to Missoula in Montana USA. It was an eventful trip with some super close friends of mine, in order to enjoy some summer time skateboarding, and to meet up with some new friends from California.
ps. SHOT AT THE DARK will be back on monday morning.

We have wild animals in Calgary. Among the many different animals you’ll encounter, the baby gorilla at the Calgary Zoo is a sight to see. If you’re lucky, you’ll see one playing around with a burlap sack or see the gorillas wrestling. The African exhibit at the zoo is a great example of why Calgary is awesome!

Nothing else needs to be said about this- by now we all know just how awesome this market is, and if you don’t, you MUST head over to Kensington tomorrow to find out! Be there or be square!

This Sunday, come hang out on the south side of Memorial Drive in Kensington. A huge chunk of the street will be blocked off, and there will be vendors, food, drinks, and games. There will also be some obstacles to skate, provided by The Source. Hope to see you all there!
UPDATE: Here are the boxes that will be there to skate on Sunday. Currently sitting at The Source in Kensington.

Today’s dog featured on BLOG YOUR DOG is Jared’s BFF- Bikini! Here is what he has to say about her:
![]() |
NAME: Bikini BREED: Yorkshire Terrier FAVORITE SNACK: Lambon strips and peanut butter OTHER INFO: Bikini is 2 years old and 4 pounds of furry fury and a river park (ir)regular. She’s is blind in her left eye (we think she got bit by her dad when she was real young…poor thing). But what she lacks in size and sight, she makes for in sass and speed. If you blink, you might miss her (and many dogs do). Editors Note: Chapeau is in L-O-V-E! |

The Spaghetti Western Festival is this weekend, and the Lazy Mks are one band you don’t want to miss!

Calgary’s Key to the City is finally ready to release their highly anticipated CD- Owls Of Getchü- this coming Friday, August 21st at 10pm at The Gateway in SAIT. I was fortunate enough to catch up with Chris Vail, singer and guitar player for the band, and find out what he (and some of his fellow band mates) have to say about this fine city of ours.
