The topic of chivalry and manners come to mind when listening to the next song featured on SHOT AT THE DARK. In a world where true love can be found on the internet, a man with a guitar and a kind word can still make someone’s life a whole lot different. From the days of old, to the hectic new ones, a confession of truth is what will always draw people closer together.
The Zolas are a renowned group from the west side of Canada, that have been together for years, due to the talent that so strongly powers and inspires each one of them. Their albums are critically acclaimed, but their stories are what hold their truth in the open.
SHOT AT THE DARK is proud to present, a quick visit from The Zolas:
Thank you so much to the gang. The Zolas are an amazing group, and will be so hard to ever forget.
A very special thank you to Shannon Luttmer for setting this all up.
Thank you for watching.
SHOT AT THE DARK is produced by Nicole Irene Dyck, Reuben Bullock, Justin Huculak, and Brock Mitchell.

Hot on the heals of his 2010 Polaris Prize nomination, Owen Pallett (formerly known as Final Fantasy) is taking his nominated album Heartland on tour this fall. Owen Pallett explains: “The album is about the beginning, middle and end of a relationship. But it’s sung from the point of view of the object of my affection. (Union Press Release)
I have to admit, I had no idea it was Historic Calgary Week 2010. That being said, I still want to catch up by attending something interesting, so what better way to do that than by heading over to Heritage Park for a FREE Craft Brewing Demo with Calgary’s own Big Rock Brewery on Monday.
“Stop by and visit the Big Rock Interpretive Brewery at Heritage Park Historical Village on Heritage Day (August 2nd, 2010) and learn about the craft brewing process. A Big Rock brew master will be on hand all day to answer questions as he creates a craft beer. Learn about the craft brewing process from recipe formulation, weighing out malted grains and hops, grain milling, mashing, sparging, boiling and cooling wort, pitching hops, brewer’s yeast, fermentation, and finally packaging beer. Located before the Park gates in the Gasoline Alley building, this demonstration is free to all who visit the Park.”
