Stage West’s “Sexy Laundry” a good ol’ romp in the hay
How does that saying go? I laughed, I cried, it was better than Cats? This week I had the pleasure of attending Stage West’s Sexy Laundry, a performance that definitely gave those sassy felines a run for their money.
Let me first start by saying if you haven’t been to Stage West, you should most certainly get there. Like maybe, say, this weekend to see Sexy Laundry!
The venue is fantastic, the service is lovely and the food is pretty damn great. The round the world style buffet covers everything from sushi to a nacho bar. I even had a duck taco made to order. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Please note that if you’re date happens to be a vegetarian, like mine was, Stage West has you covered. There’s nothing worse than going out to dinner with a vegan or vegetarian when there’s no options for them. My vegetarian sister accompanied me to watch the show and was pleasantly surprised to find lentils, kale and an assortment of dishes sans meat. Hooray Stage West, yet another win!
After stuffing yourself full of deliciousness, you’ll find yourself immersed in a captivating performance about a long time couple trying to rekindle their marriage through a Sex for Dummies book.
Now I know what you’re thinking, everyone knows porn is the key to rekindling a relationship. But I assure you, they get to the whips, leather and same sex fantasies, so just follow along.
Actors Jane Spidell and William R. Moses play the tumultuous couple and put on a spectacular performance. The ups and downs that theses two go through is nothing short of a roller-coaster ride of emotion and hilarity. And you might just get some ideas for fore-play to boot.
If you’re looking for a meal and a show this weekend, don’t by a frozen dinner and watch some crappy reality show. Go to Stage West, where you can not only fill your belly but watch two people blindfold each other in their pajamas. Meeeow!
